I dag, I morgen Kortfilm
Production Sound • Sound Designer • Post Production Audio
January 2026 - June 2026
I Dag, I Morgen is a 26-minute drama directed by Alfred Ermesjø Dokken and produced as a graduation film at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. The film follows a father living in isolation on the Norwegian coast whose quiet life is disrupted when his children unexpectedly return after years apart. The film was selected for Next Nordic Generation 2026 at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund.Together with Henrik Børseth, I was responsible for the film's entire audio production from pre-production through post-production.My responsibilities included production sound recording on set, dialogue editing, sound design, ambience creation, Foley editing, audio cleanup and the final mix. Throughout the project we worked closely with the director and editorial team to support the emotional storytelling through naturalistic and immersive sound. This project strengthened my experience in narrative sound design, location sound recording and post-production workflows while collaborating within a professional film production environment.
Fjord Fury
August 2025 - December 2025
Sound Designer • Technical Sound Designer • FMOD ImplementationFjord Fury is a local multiplayer boat racing game developed in collaboration with Game Design students at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences using the Trolls vs Vikings IP from Megapop Games. As the project's Sound Designer, I was responsible for designing the game's complete audio identity from concept to implementation. My work included creating sound effects, establishing the project's sonic direction, implementing audio in FMOD and collaborating closely with designers and programmers to integrate the audio into Unity. To create a cohesive soundscape, I developed a dedicated sound palette that balanced stylized cartoon effects with realistic environmental elements such as wind, water and wooden ships. I also designed dynamic audio systems using FMOD parameters, allowing sound effects and adaptive music to react to player speed, gameplay intensity and in-game events. This project strengthened my experience in technical sound design, interactive audio implementation and cross-disciplinary collaboration within game development.

SHIFT - GAME

SHIFT is a game created as part of MAIL 2025 (Media Art Innovation Lab) — a 4th semester course at Kristiania University College focused on interdisciplinary collaboration across creative fields. The project consists of two parts developed in tandem: a short film and a game. I was responsible for designing, implementing, and mixing the audio in Unreal Engine. Game design by Sylwia Szczęsna.

Fins N' Fangs
Social Media Post From Kristiania (Sound Design) On Game Audio
"Fins N’ Fangs" is a student game project I worked on during the same period as SHIFT. I was invited to join by my classmate Odin André Sandberg, who connected me with the game designer. Together, Odin and I worked on the sound, with me (Jacob Meissner Pietronigro Ivansson) taking the lead on the overall sound design direction and producing the vast majority of the SFX — everything except the gem pickup and the music. This project was a great opportunity to explore creative sound design from scratch and keep things consistent across all assets. While we didn’t implement the audio in Unreal ourselves, we delivered a complete sound package to the game designer for integration. The video shown here is not captured from the implemented version of the game, but rather a "proof of concept" — where we laid sound directly onto video to demonstrate our creative intent and how the effects are meant to function in context. Compared to earlier material, this version offers a much clearer representation of the sound design work, and I’m really proud of how it communicates timing, variation, and character. This was definitely one of the most rewarding and educational projects I’ve been part of.

Hi, I'm Jacob Meissner Pietronigro Ivansson, a Norwegian creative media professional with a Bachelor's degree in Sound Design from Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. My work combines sound, storytelling and digital media across games, film and online platforms. Throughout my studies and professional projects, I've worked with game audio implementation, film sound, social media management, voice acting and creative content production, giving me experience in both technical and creative roles.I enjoy building immersive experiences through sound, whether that's designing interactive audio systems in FMOD, recording and mixing for film, producing engaging content for social media or bringing characters to life through voice performance. I thrive in collaborative environments where creativity, technology and storytelling come together. While audio remains my primary discipline, I'm equally interested in broader creative roles within the games, media and entertainment industries. I'm currently seeking opportunities in game audio, sound design, content creation, social media, creative production, voice acting and other creative positions where I can contribute across multiple disciplines. If you'd like to collaborate or just have a chat, feel free to get in touch.
My Interests
Game Audio
As someone deeply interested in game audio, I attended "Sonic Realities" — a GAiN, Dolby & NFI event focused on spatial audio in games, film, TV, and music. The talks and workshops offered valuable insights into how immersive sound is shaping the future of interactive storytelling.
Recording Sound
A couple of behind-the-scenes shots from set — I really enjoy being out there with the gear, recording sound right at the source. There’s something super fun and rewarding about capturing the sounds and dialogue that help bring a scene to life.
...AND MAKING FOOD
When I'm not working with sound or creative media, you'll usually find me in the kitchen. I enjoy experimenting with recipes and challenging myself to create great food from simple ingredients. My background in culinary arts continues to influence how I approach creativity, problem-solving and attention to detail.
